Can anyone tell me if we will get any snow here in Tyler? We had just a little off and on this morning, but all afternoon it's been rain or nothing.

Just moderate fluffy dry snow here, 32 degrees. But Im really watching a VERY HEAVY Snow band form Weatherford to Waxahachie line, VERY imrpessive 1-3" per hour totals. Behind this snow band look for moderate steady snow backbuilding, and training...

nope doesn't look like it. The above freezing layer extends too far up into the atmosphere.

All major ISD across DFW will be closed tomorrow, it was stated on all 4 news stations

My mom teaches in Dallas ISD. I called her and she said she has not gotten a call or email saying they are. She even called her school and they had not heard. I wonder if someone jumped the gun or if the word has not gotten out yet to the employes. Oh boy, that could be a bigger mess then this storm. It happened one year for me when I was in high school. I think it was 99-00 but Caroll ISD shutdown and the news ran it as Carrollton ISD. The high school kids were already at school. It was a huge mess. We shall see.

This is what the RUC model is showing. It is forming now and should move into the southern portions of the metroplex in the next hour and last until around 7pm.

Doubtful for Austin/San Antonio...I will give A&M/Bryan/Huntsville/Lufkin a shot after midnight. Temple/Waco maybe in the next 4-5 hours.

It looks like the precip is starting to change from rain to sleet/snow west of the Austin area:

moderate snow starting again on the west side of Fort Worth. Drier, fluffier flakes are now falling that are accumulating at a much faster rate.
