Sleet here with some tiny snow flakes mixed in. Sleet is accumulating on the steps and car, but slowly melting. Car thermometer says it's 35 degrees.

Don't get caught up on where the dot is on the models. The important thing to note on the NAM is it is showing an EXTREMELY heavy band setting up around Mobile and Pensacola. We will need to see exactly where the band sets up tomorrow. Our area looks to be in for a lot of snow!

*Takes a deep breath*

Ok, so the temperatures really could drop to freezing tomorrow morning? This isn't just a pipe dream? It's been holding steady at 38 for hours here.

Yep, as the heavier precip falls, it will cool the temps to at or below freezing.

Temperatures will be key also. Today in north Texas we got a few degrees lower than forecast and that made this storm from a significant snowstorm to a record one. NAM and GFS had us around 3 inches, ended up almost over 9. I think areas from Pensacola west/northwest has the best chances along the coast. Those colors only give a general idea of where the heaviest precip might set up imho
