JB Saturday thoughts on potential track of low over Atlantic. Here's an excerpt from his discussion:
2cnd is the upper low and low level trof in the atlantic near 23 north and 52 west. This already has some low level convergent streaks feeding in. The process is the upper low backs away and leaves a low level system to develop its own anticyclone as it comes west within the upper level circulation which is moving west under the big western atlantic ridge. The water is warm in front of it, and once again the key will be increasing convection over a 24 hour period. So far it is no worse for the wear this morning. This is the system that I am most worried about overall as it is coming west over warm water and looks like it seen by the modelling, most notably the UKMET. The midday GFS allowed for a track into the Carolinas, which I really dont believe, as I think its more likely for Florida, but obviously this is an early call of a system that has not yet developped
