As of right now, if it's going to be anything (based on the current EURO) it would be a cold rain to maybe sleet. Though it could be snow at the very back end.

Euro isn't as wet for DFW if anything, but wetter than it's previous runs.

1-2" south side Dallas.
Maybe 1-2" NW of Houston if everything is perfect, but that is too far out yet.

Seriously...I'm tired of the cold, period. Rain, sleet, snow, or whatever, I don't care any more....I just want spring to finally get here.

JB says Texas watch out on his video today, similar to pattern that gave Dallas snow last week but with cross polar flow involved.

Next Tue...although the Japanese model delays it. Still 4-5 days out, and we have huge differences between the model runs.

The latest public video I see from JB is Feb 16th...does he do videos as well as the column now for customers?

As of right now, enough seeing of model trends gives me enough confidence to say someone (other than the panhandle) could see snow. Give it by the end of this week and we should have a clearer idea.

He has daily updated videos for professional members. Some of his specials and long rangers go out occasionally to the public.

This whole forecast next week depends upon that trough over the Pacific NW. If it rotates around the ridge to the north and merges with the trough offshore (like the NAM, GEM, GFS suggest) then the snow event won't happen. If it doesn't rotate around, and dives back to the SE like the ECMWF/UKMET suggest then the snow event is on.

Still 5 days out and nothing for certain yet.

I saw it for about 2 minutes...now, POOF! It's gone! Showed 3 to 6 inches for North Texas next Tuesday. What's up with that....where did it go?
