Good reminder. It's very helpful when reading posts. It's quick and painless. Click on "User Control Panel" in the top right corner of any page. Then on the left, click on "Profile." Then you can add your location.

Everyone is getting in on the fun today.

Nothing here southwest of Houston.
Just cloudy skies and reading about everyone getting some snow in Texas...........except us.

We were never supposed to get snow this early in the day. If we get any, it should be much later this afternoon, at the earliest.

Breaking News: The omega block over Austin (Particularly over Portastorm's head) has left the region to take a warm vacation with Wxman in an undisclosed location in the south Pacific.

Looking at the radar --- I think there might be enough snow for the kids to sled on again. 2-3 inches seems possible, given we got about 1 inch on the ground now.

NWS still giving me hope (forecast below), but the temp is still 41 here and that's what it was late last night when I checked as well. I had expected it to be colder than this... not very hopeful at this point.

NWS WWA says, "CHANGING OVER TO ALL SNOW BY
EVENING NORTH OF US-190. AFTER MIDNIGHT...THE PRECIPITATION IS
EXPECTED TO CHANGE OVER TO ALL SNOW NORTH OF I-10"

I'll post the WWA in the SE TX/ SW LA thread.

Tonight: Rain and snow likely before midnight, then a chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. North wind between 10 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of snow before 9am. Partly cloudy, with a high near 52. North wind between 10 and 15 mph.

Saw that, Portastorm. It appears that the 06Z GFS did a better job at predicting the changeover than the 09Z RUC. So when you get your 2-4 inches today, can we stop all this snow talk and look for some nice, warm 80+ deg days? ;-)

Very impressive, though not the duration of snowmageddon in DFW over an area, the snow squalls in central and south central Texas looks stronger than that event. Areas nw of CLL must be picking up 3-4 inches of snow in a relatively short amount of time.

Nada dang thing here on the northeast side of Dallas's 635 Loop.

Well, at least all the tree limbs on the side of the roads are still here to remind me of our last snowstorm.
