Lol, I don't know if it'll make it. Or what it'll be. Hopefully it's at least like we had earlier.

I think the solution is my friend just needs to come up here next winter. Because San Antonio has a really hard time seeing snow.

If they can make the quick drive an hour or so safely to Georgetown i'm sure they can see good snow!

looking very good right now. It's gonna snow for a while tonight. Still very heavy snow. Just made a quick run to the store. Accumulating nicely on the grass right now and the temp is dropping.

The back edge of the heavy shield of precip is now showing up roughly from Tyler down to CLL, they should soon transition to periods of light snow

The latest run of the GFS shows snow for pretty much all of the Houston area tonight. Shows some wrap around moisture all the way up to here 12 hours out

:uarrow: Personal opinion, if it's going to snow in Houston proper area wide, I think it would be between 6-9pm if not that probably won't do much after.

Keep in mind that on the GFS run if its 12 hours out, then its showing precipitation for the previous six hours. So in other words, the precip could very well fall into that 6-9 p.m. window.. (at least thats how I think it works)

:uarrow: Yeah, this storm looks like its coming to an end, but it will deepen in my opinion and pull in moisture.

Where do you guys think the low is? Accuweather has the low down near Cancun. lol

the early 3 hours of those 6 would have the best chance at precip while it's cold as the moisture is moving out, this is based on radar trends that's why I think it's 6-9.

very discouraged from the last few frames of radar... It looks like the freeze line has ran into a wall on a line from katy, to conroe, to chester, to just south of lufkin.. I was planning to head toward chester after work, but now im not so sure its even worth it..

Congrats to everyone who is getting snow today. A nice treat in Texas!

My "around one inch accumulation" is down to "less than a half inch" possible, and I'm thinking I'll be lucky to even see any flakes at this point. NWS says all snow after 9pm. Will there be any precip left though? Image

Tonight: Rain and snow, becoming all snow after 9pm. Low around 33. North wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

I'm getting some decent showers now and the temp is finally falling. It's a hair below 40° now.

*Edit 8 minutes later - went from 39.9 to 39 in 8 min. Keep going, baby!

:uarrow: There's a small small window of precip for the Beaumont area in cold air late tonight for flurries. Well after dark though from what I can see.

While flurries are nice to watch in the daytime, ehhh... if I can't even scrape up enough off a car to throw a snowball, what's the point? Yep, been spoiled the last few Decembers and I enjoy the snowball fights and making a snowman. Now I knew that IF I got anything, it wouldn't be enough for a snowman this time, but I was hoping for enough to make some snowballs and play in it a little, even if it wasn't much.

Oh well, there's always the oppressive heat to look forward to. :P
