An undersea earthquake has occurred near the COAST OF CENTRAL CHILE.
TSUNAMI WAVES HAVE BEEN OBSERVED ON THE COAST OF CHILE THAT MAY THREATEN
AUSTRALIA.
Tsunami waves may start affecting the following States and Territories after
these local times:
Norfolk Is after 08:30 am (UTC+11.5hrs) Sunday
Lord Howe Is after 08:30 am (EDT) Sunday
New South Wales after 08:45 am (EDT) Sunday
Queensland after 08:15 am (EST) Sunday

An undersea earthquake of magnitude 8.8 has occurred at 5:34 PM EDT on Saturday
27 February 2010 near the COAST OF CENTRAL CHILE (latitude 35.320S longitude
72.930W ).
The Joint Australian Tsunami Warning Centre is closely monitoring the situation.
