Calling all Charlie & Penny fans, as well as all LOST fans...

ABC's new series FlashForward, premieres tonight. Dominic Monaghan (Charlie) and Sonya Walger (Penny) both star on the show. It looks like it could be a show that LOST type viewers get into.

FlashForward is a science-fiction television series currently in production by ABC Studios for the 2009–2010 television season for ABC. It is based on the 1999 Prix Aurora Award-winning novel Flashforward by Canadian science fiction writer Robert J. Sawyer. With the end of Lost in 2010, ABC Studios hopes it will be a companion series to the show during its sixth and final season.

A look at FlashForward: http://abc.go.com/shows/flash-forward - a long preview. It looks like it will be really good! Notice the sign on the building at 6:20 in. 8-)

That's a beautiful mechanism to completely obliterate plot holes. Now they don't have to bog down the alternate reality with Anna Lucia, Shannon, et al.

what we saw on Tuesday is called flash-sideway . .. the flash side-way is what would happen if Jughead did go off. .. . if you were paying attention, you saw the plane ride was not exactly what happened in the pilot (the timeline if Jughead didn't blow up).. because Jughead in 1977 went off, the flash side-way was off from the original if-jughead-never-went-off timeline

is this making sense?

Confused by the 'Lost' premiere? Never fear! Damon and Carlton explain a few things about the start of Season 6 (SPOILERS AHEAD)
by Jeff Jensen

. Should you infer that the detonation of Jughead is what sunk the island? Who knows? But there’s the Foot. What do you get when you see that shot? It looks like New Otherton got built. These little clues [might help you] extrapolate when the Island may have sunk. Start to think about it. A couple of episodes down the road, some of the characters might even discuss it. We will say this: season 6 is not about time travel. It’s about the implications, the aftermath, and the causality of trying to change the past. But the idea of continuing to do paradoxical storytelling is not what we’re interested in this year.

I have a million thoughts on LOST, but I don't have time to post about it now. I wanted to share my new favorite YouTube video with you all, though.

Do the names on the ceiling have anything to do with what we’ve been previously told about Jacob’s “list”?

Over the past several seasons, we’ve occasionally heard of a list Jacob had compiled of select castaway names. In season 3, we heard two Others tell us who wasn’t on the list. In “I Do,” Danny angrily said that Jack wasn’t on Jacob’s list. And in “Par Avion,” Patchy, aka Mikhail Bakunin, told Locke, Sayid and Kate that they were “not on the list” because they were “flawed,” because they were “angry, and weak, and frightened.” So we have a discrepancy: the names on the ceiling don’t square with what the Others have said about Jacob’s list. My theory to explain this: the Others were misled by Smokey about Jacob’s true list of candidates in order to manipulate them into doing what “the rules” prevent him from doing — killing the candidates.

LOST has me very, very confused. I just caught up on this season today and I have about a million more questions than I do answers.
