It is with a heavy heart that I tell our S2k family that a dear friend/member passed away this afternoon. MsRobi911, aka Mary, was a beam of sunshine, a quick wit and a pleasure to be with in real life. She had a heart attack this afternoon according to her best friend. No details yet on her funeral but as soon as i hear anything i will let everyone know.

Mary was so full of life. Looking at the good even when life dealt her some blows. She lost her home and everything in it due to Hurricane Katrina. She looked around at the devastation and moved forward with her life. She was in love with her husband Robi and they had two beautiful children, Aimee and Bud. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear this. I have always wondered if something happened to our dear online friends if we would ever know. As sad as this occasion is, I am glad we are able to say "goodbye." RIP Mary!!!

I am so sad right now. Mary was a good friend and like Frick said, she always looked on the bright side, even when things were tough. And she was tough!! She'd been through some difficult times since Katrina hit, but she never stopped making people laugh. She was so much fun and the world was a better place with her in it. I will miss her so much!

I didn't expect to return to S2K and find this.

There's really not much I can add to the sentiments expressed above. I think I shall never forget her harrowing description of Katrina's landfall, and the light and laughter she brought to this board.

Rest in peace, Mary. You are gone too soon, but it isn't in our power to decide these things. The Almighty decided to call her home.
