Hopefully the Vortex II team is in place and ready! I personally think they are going to make up for last years lack of tornadoes all in one day =[ At the very least, let a lot of useful things come out of a very bad situation.

I fear by late afternoon/early evening we will be seeing wedge tornadoes threatening populated areas when it hits the I-35 corridor...

I know with all the worry, I'm probably the only one finding is amusing to see all the storm chasers lined up along I-35 from Wichita to OKC (via the Spotter Network). Trying to find a little bit of solace in what may be a very horrible rest of the day.

There is one plus side to all those spotters being around...lots of pairs of eyes scanning the skies and calling in info to the NWS!

Last pass on Level 2 data had something already twisting in the cell on the lower tilts. Of course, that was still 6000-9000 feet up in air though.

Got a bad, bad feeling about this evening. PDS watch is one county to my northwest across the Red River. Lots of populated towns potentially in harms way this afternoon and evening. Stay safe everyone...

You'll probably go into a watch later (maybe not PDS, but something).

Not sure yet, but KOCO in OKC is your best bet when it happens.

Probably not a bad idea to keep an eye on the cell in OK about two counties directly south of the Woodward Co. cell. If all holds right, this should turn into something relatively quick as well.
