I think time is running out for our long track supercell. It is starting to get caught up from behind in the remains of other storms, and might get choked off here soon.

The April 24 tornado was 149 miles in length. This one is closing in - if it is confirmed as a single tornado.

Yeah thats not a bad looking cell, also fairly isolated as well which means it certainly may well need to be watched. A cell decent cells to the west of it as well now.

I have roughly 114.7 nm on GrLevel3...that is a measurement from the dot for Moore, OK straight to where the hook currently is (that is a rough estimate, a tornado's track can vary).

Those cells near Abilene are worrisome as they would be DFW threats eventually if they can get to potential.

Yeah they are catching up, that beingt said the Hook Echo is actually pretty impressive again, it actually looks almost as impressive as it did when it was north of Seminole again.

From eyewitness reports, it appears that was NOT a single long track tornado.

It did look like it really weakened about an hour ago Crazy so its quite possible that it was several tornadoes that formed from the same Meso complex.

Had to pick my son up early from baseball practice after the extreme northern edge of our county (Grayson County) was placed under a tornado warning.

After being sure the storm was going to miss our town (Denison in the northern portion of Grayson County) we went to a prominent hill top on Hwy. 75 in Denison and watched the storm pass by about 5 miles to our NW in southern Bryan County, Oklahoma.

As we sat there with a storm spotter, there was just amazing inflow of 60 to 70 mph into the storm. Storm was definitely rotating, we saw several funnel cloud lowerings out of the wall cloud, and there was a report of a possible wedge touchdown in the Cartwright/Calera area just across the Red River.

It was an amazing mini-storm chase right here in my backyard...told my son that the ONLY thing we didn't see out of that circulation was an actual tornado touch down (there were several lowerings that I thought were going to continue to the ground but they never did).

Echo still looks there from what I'm seeing, that said it doesn't look quite as pronouced as it once did...which would agree with the drop in the velocities....still the rotation aloft has lasted a very long time!

Looks like there will probably be a cell heading towards Fort Worth, though the worst of it may end up just a little north of the city.

Probably moved from Norman over Lake Thunderbird, Pink and then through Tecumsah and over to Seminole airport.

Maybe not continous but that cell certainly spawned a LOT of damage.
