If something were to develop out of that, that would be of little comfort...there are plenty of people between downtown Fort Worth and the Denton area, especially to the east of Texas Motor Speedway.

Without a doubt we don't really want anything from them forming, and your right looking at the area it is fairly populated...ya see for me this is as much a geography lesson as anything else!

Good thing that cell is dead.

Yeah the Hook echo is finally decaying in terms of presentation again, not before time either I have to admit!
Got a possible weak hook to the cell to the west of that one though, but will have to see more radar returns to really know.

Better watch that tornado warned cell in N. Texas moving from Clay County into Cooke County. Seems to be a right mover breaking away from the squall line trying to develop.

As the suns sets here in Decatur/Bridgeport sounds of thunder echo the atmosphere as a wall cloud sits to our north. No tornado I can see, FROM HERE.. But an ominous wall cloud with rapid lightning is still very impressive.

Here's KOTV claiming a long-tracked tornado going form Norman to the OK/AR border, but given the parameters in the atmosphere today a family of tornadoes sure seems plausible as well.

I'm getting quite interested in a cell on the far northern part of Texas now...

That is very good to hear indeed, because that really did get smashed to pieces from the pictures I'm sure we've all seen.

That seems pretty miraculous...

Yes, it's sure looking like something could be going on there.

Cell due north of Gainesville along the red river looks to have something on the ground. It is getting quite noisy outside I will be back.

My guess is that it may have been a single tornado from Moore as far as Seminole County - about 55 miles. Okmulgee and McIntosh Counties I think had separate tornadoes.

It's just heartbreaking to hear of people losing their lives. It's still early, so I'm concerned that this might only be the beginning of some ongoing awful news.
Several members of my family live within about 5 miles both north and south in between tornados that tracked across Moore and Norman. There is some incredible chaser video at this link.

The south Norman tornado, likely the one that also struck Tecumseh, was a certifiable monster, almost assuredly at least an EF-4.
So sad.

Looks like a hook is developing on that cell looking at the last few radar returns...
