Hi Barbara! Yeah absolutely you're right, i'm glad to see that in the butterfly island ! Whereas we should not forget and neglect the seismic ativity in our area and thus our vulnerability. Let's be vigilant and on our guard as usual in the carib islands!

The good news about the effects is that it was very deep (68 miles) and that limits the damage but anyway you put it is a big one I am fine so dont worry about me.

I was sleeping and I believe that somebody (or an animal) was pulling my mattress outside my bed. Anyway, I don't believe any real damage or death from this earthquake occur, since is was only moderate.

They increased the intensity to 5.8 But so far, what I have seen in the news is only sporadic damage to some roads with small cracks and a few old homes that also have cracks. But so far no reports of deaths.I will provide more information later as more news comes.

Glad to see that and thanks to keep us informed as usual Cycloneye. Seems that the seismic activity continues in the carib islands ... One week after Guadeloupe, it's PR (with numbers up to 5,2 for Guadeloupe, 5,8 for PR).
Let's continue to be vigilant an on our guard my friends.
Regards

It seems that the Caribbean plate does not want to be quiet this year. That's good news that there are no serious damages.
