Wow, that is an incredible video! I had never heard about that storm before. It's amazing that Ardmore has bounced back and become such a vibrant city on the heels of that - thank God they decided to rebuild the Michelin/Uniroyal plant after that!

I grew up 15 miles north of Ardmore and remember the 1995 storm vividly. We had small paper debris from that storm falling in our neck of the woods (i.e. check stubs and leaves from ardmore). In all fairness to the post about Ardmore bouncing back, aside from the Michelin plant, western Ardmore was built up as much as it is now. Luckily it stayed west of the interstate and missed the heart of the town. However, it did cause an estimated $75 million in damage. It didn't do that much additional damage (although I think it got part of the Plainview school campus). Severe individuals were killed to the south southwest of Ardmore near Burneyville.
