409 PM CDT WED MAY 19 2010

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORMAN HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
DEWEY COUNTY IN NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA...

* UNTIL 500 PM CDT

* AT 408 PM CDT...A THUNDERSTORM WITH A HISTORY OF PRODUCING
A TORNADO WAS LOCATED 9 MILES NORTHWEST OF PUTNAM...MOVING EAST AT
30 MPH.

* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE HUCMAC...NORTHWESTERN CANTON
LAKE...OAKWOOD...PUTNAM AND TALOGA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW. LEAVE MOBILE HOMES AND VEHICLES. IF POSSIBLE...MOVE
TO A BASEMENT OR STORM SHELTER. OTHERWISE MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM OR
HALLWAY ON THE LOWEST FLOOR. STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS AND OUTSIDE
WALLS.

We're going partly sunny, very warm and sticky with temps at 83 and the dewpoint at 67, and winds gusting out of the SE at 20 to 30 mph right now in Denison.

Feels a lot like it did on May 10th.

KFOR TV met says "This has got tornado outbreak written all over it."

He is also pointing to development near Lawton along the dry line.

I agree with him, that is the area to really watch. Lots of heat in that part of the state. The storms that hit OKC in 1999 generally formed in that region if I remember correctly.

Not saying that this is 1999 again, just that I would expect explosive development in SW Oklahoma in the next hour or so...

The May 10 storms formed right in that area as well. The storm that K.O'd my neighborhood formed just north west of Lawton.

It really is May 10 all over again it seems. And even though it was bad, it terms of fatalities it could've been even worse. So stay safe all of you.

EAGLE CITY...MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH. IN ADDITION... THIS STORM IS
CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HAIL LARGER THAN BASEBALLS.
* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE CANTON LAKE...CANTON...EAGLE

Tornado touched down in an open field west of Hennessey but it lifted before it reached the town. Good stuff.

Cell down on the Red River to the SW of Lawton needs watching too. Prime area for explosive development...

* UNTIL 615 PM CDT

* AT 520 PM CDT...A THUNDERSTORM WITH A HISTORY OF PRODUCING
TORNADOES WAS LOCATED 12 MILES WEST OF LOYAL...MOVING EAST AT 40
MPH. THE MOST DANGEROUS PART OF THE STORM WILL MOVE TOWARD LOYAL
AND DOVER. IN ADDITION... HAIL LARGER THAN BASEBALLS ARE LIKELY.
THIS IS A DIFFERENT STORM THAT THE STORM THAT HAS PRODUCED THE
TORNADO NEAR HENNESSEY AND MARSHALL.

* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE CASHION...DOVER...HENNESSEY...
KINGFISHER...LACEY...LOYAL AND OMEGA.
