Thanks for the information Toni and Mike. I am going by what I have heard.

I would assume there have been other tropical systems that have made landfall elsewhere that have weakened more than Erin did.

GREAT PICS SF, Erin wasn't really that big of a storm was she? At the time she looked pretty big to me, I guess because she was comming at me.

If I remember correctly Erin formed rather quickly also and didn't give the East coast much time to prepare. Thanks for pulling that up! Brought back some memories.
