If possible, try to use the recon decoder on this site sometimes too:
http://hhrecon.com/recon/

A few years ago someone graciously offered to mirror my site's core systems there. My site is currently experiencing crippling server loads apparently, so try not to use the Google Earth system too much when it is slow to load.

And the error I had on my site I fixed on the mirror site, so Alex data is coming in now. (well, not my error really, "0301AALEX" should have been "0301A ALEX")

Plane has set itself up to sample to the northeast edge of the storm, then turning in for a northeast-southwest pass through the storm.

Yep, 36 minutes since the last set of HDOBS were transmitted,. Based on its path and speed, the plane went / should have gone through the center within the past ten minutes.

So what, we've not had obs from recon for a little while now, hopefully at least the NHC have had the obs...would be good to know the actual strength of Alex.

Still an impressive flight wind recording, and there have been others in the low 50s as well recently...
