Weather is really pretty dark now, another round of solid showers is coming, light rain is falling here without thunder and winds but i smell that the burst near Guadeloupe is trying to refire quickly...
Stay safe and dry friend for the others islands.

Just back from Placencia Village where the LobsterFest was happening all day, Kendal bridge stayed open all day, We just had steady rain all day, winds were around 10-15kts most of day with occsion higher gusts which made the main marquee frame rattle but on the Southern point of village we heard the sea was very rough and coming onshore near the sidewalk which is approx 15ft from the standard high tide mark. Guessing winds were SW as generally that the only time it gets rough there. The main beach where the festival held sea was pretty calm this is normally rough with NE or East winds.
Radio just received phone call from someone on San Pedro to say areas of san pedro have elec is out and waves are approx 15ft high. Rain in Placencia is getting heavier but no major increase in wind here on the Placenica Peninsula. NEMO did tour today countrywide and as of 6pm no flooding occuring but water levels rising in Belize City District, Corazol and Hopkins.

Hi everyone, I saw this today on my way to drop someone off at the airport. It looked really impressive but I couldnt find anywhere to pull over so i only snapped it as it was fading out. I am not sure how to post pictures on here so I hope this works.

Weather report from Barbados: In a word, it’s hot! I don’t know if it’s a combination of light winds and a high relative humidity but it’s most unpleasant.

Rain is back here, it's raining nicely meanwhile Meteo-France has just disrupted the yellow alert for Guadeloupe and Martinica too. Whereas they always expected some strong showers and isolated tstorms in vicinity of the island. Let's continue to monitor closely 94L.

From a correspondant of Jamaica on Stormcarib.com
[b]Tropical storm Alex no major damage to Belize as of Sunday 12am
By Blayz Brooks <blayzbrooks at yahoo.com>
Date: Sat, 26 Jun 2010 22:46:52 -0700 (PDT)

Tropical storm Alex made landfall, just about 15miles north of Belize City as a 65 miles tropical storm. I have been monitoring live coverage on Belize love fm . http://lovefm.com/listen_live.php

Most of the reports are that people have been going into shelters. There have been heavy rains, gusty winds up to 48 mph, and electricity blackouts in parts of the country and a few persons have lost zinc roofs. The rivers in the north are normal, but some rivers in the Central and South of Belize that are rising.

The greatest concern is not with the tropical storm conditions now, but after the storm.

The interior of Belize is very mountainous and when all this water is squeezed into the mountain the rivers in the densely populated area may rise and cause chaos. A public official on the station has said the country has fared well; it has highlighted the countries strengths and the areas where improvement is needed.

The forecast is wet weather through to Monday for Belize .

The rains have diminished in El Salvador today but the winds increased since last night and at this time they continue to blow, they're not very strong but they're sustained winds.

This video was shot about an hour ago from my window (again ).
