Ah well thats a shame cycloneye, still we found out that the system is strengthening nicely and the vortex messages suggested it was at least picking up some latitude.

Recon is heading into there now as you say Cycloneye, my gut instinct is they may just be shy of TS winds given the lack of any real deep convection right now.

Won't be long before we find out how strong Alex really is, probably between 30-35kts seems like the obvious level for now.

Pressures are very low (1000 mbs) and plane has not reacxhed the center yet.
