Either the pressure is down a ways from what it was last pass or the forward speed is increasing and they are closer to the center then what I am thinking. 994mb pressure and I think still a ways from the center.

The last couple frames sure make it look like the eyewall is becoming more pronounced.

well the latest microwave pass shows a 60-70% complete eyewall and some of the sat imagery show what appear to be an eye developing so I think winds will jump up here shortly to like 75-80 mph by the 5 PM advisory

Will that piece to the north of the center ( What I think is the center) come back to the system ( or center) or will it stay out there?

Looks like in the loop that it is headed towards Hou/Galv. Not sure if it will hold together though

So if that upper portion break off? Will that allow Alex to strengthen faster? And will it form its own LLC?

Probably won't breeak off, but may become more band-like and wrap in better as the storm strengthens. It may simply die down. Absolutely won't develop its own LLC. Not with Alex right there already.

Still nothing to suggest that we have Hurricane Alex though.

The last time a storm had such a low pressure in June was Hurricane Agnes (1972), correct?
