Whats interesting is there are isolated cells on the southern side of the system which is possibly an indication it could eventually go subtropical. If time is on its side it'll be worth watching.

Wow, convergence is really kicking up in the area to the southeast... and dropping off over the center of this system...

Probably not a good thing for this area, may well see a secondary depression try and form to the SE of the orginal low pressure system.

Yeah looks like the gulf Stream is really helping out with the lapse rates and thats probably helping to strengthen the moderate convection around the low.

When these sorts of things happen you never can rule out at least sub-tropical transition.

Oh without a doubt it probably is still extratropical but its got some time and the longer it stays over the Gulf the better for its chances.

this is going sub tropical if it keeps this convection. There looks to be a LLC with this...plenty of potential and its not really moving...JMO

lol, can't leave town for one day (went last night to the Michael Buble concert in Norfolk, best show I have ever been to). Had no idea this was happening (didn't even mention it locally)
TPC doesn't seem the least bit interested. But it is headed our way, wind is picking up. And hoping for at least some rain.

Was this that harmless llc from a couple days ago?

A few more showers and it will look like Subtropical Storm Andrea from a few years ago.
