Anyone Ever Go Back to Read Old Hurricane Threads?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

I haven't, but I can still remember the play by play posts of the 2005 season, particularly Katrina. :(

I went back through the Ike discussion thread since we lost power for a day and a half. Like others said it brought back those anxious feelings, even some anger at some postings, but mostly I did it to make sure I didn't miss anything that I could learn from. I've gone through some of the Katrina thread too. I think the "anger" comes in at some of the "thoughtless" posts(there aren't a lot) that some make not thinking about what others may be or are going through when a TC, especially a strong one is bearing down on them, their family, their possessions, and their friends.

I went back to the Hurricane Flossie threads and Felicia, and the hurricane that hit Oman a few years back.

Sometimes I do, but it is awfully frustrating to see an image of 96L where Ike's landfall of Cuba ought to be.

I did go back and read Rita and Ike because when we evacuated for those I didn't get to watch my own storms happening!! I was here at S2K thru Humberto without evacuating  before during and after. TS Edouard too.

I remember the advisory October 19 2005 at 1am when recon found the 901 pressure and everybody thought that a few posters were joking around when infact the 901 was infact true because the 11pm advisory had the pressure at 945

Wilma was just insane, living in the UK I left for school when the pressure was something like 987mbs and came home in the late eveing to see it down to see recon come in with 884mbs...utter shock that was!
