Re: WPAC : SEVERE TROPICAL STORM CONSON
It really appears Conson is taking much Western track than originally thought. Will hit closer to Hainan Island.

Hi Gurus,
Anywhere i can see the actual mm of rainfall this storm brought upon metro manila?
I am planning to come up with historical database containing figures of all storms for 2010 that will hit our country.
Thanks in advance!

Re: WPAC : SEVERE TROPICAL STORM CONSON
I survived another storm! Now, I had come face to face with Xangxane (Milenyo), Fengshen (Frank), Mirinae (Santi) and finally, Conson (Basyang).
Last night was a blast. Our power lines went on and off, and at around 2am, the power supply was totally knocked down. There were little rains, but the wind was so strong that all the trees and electric posts everywhere were swaying violently. Some galvanized roofs were peeled off. Luckily, our house didn't get damage from last night.
And I see there's another invest to the west of Luzon. I was already thinking since yesterday that those cluster of clouds may form a separate system once Conson moves away.

Another year, another new set of storm fatalities. Again, with the Philippines new president , looks like there is still no change

As expected, the people in the capital were caught by surprise. President Aquino must really start the modernization project on PAGASA as soon as possible.

Looks like the WNW/NW motion has started now at long last after that continued westward motion.

Are the models for it heading toward Hainan correct then or will they have to remodel the directions?

JMA down to a tropical storm. Still forecasting re-intensification but not to a typhoon.

Hi guys, power is still out in our house in valenzuela, metro manila so I decided to go to our other house in nueva ecija where there's power......PAGASA got scolded by the president earlier because of it's wrong forecast...Thanks to this site, I was able to know in advance that metro manila will get a direct hit..................Metro Manila was in total blackout last night(totally no power)...right now, about 70% still has no electricity...there have also been reports of destroyed homes and some casualties....

Thanks for that report there oaba!
Looks like the system is now tracking a little to the east of the forecast track, JWTC expecting something at just 40kts now at landfall.
