Problem - The recon program in google earth isn't working because the AF recently made a small change to the HDOBs and the program isn't recognizing it.

Hopefully whoever made it will get it fixed right away. Have you tried downloading the latest kml (or whatever it is)?

Yeah. Even the main site itself isn't working right. If you paste the recon data it tells you its an unrecognized format.

The recco message just showed up, but it doesn't know how to do the HDOBs. At least we'll get the VDMs and dropsondes still.

I'm getting the HDOB from
http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/text/URNT15-USAF.shtml?

when I paste that into TA decoder, it works.

It looks like the decoder wants this preamble
000
URNT15 KNHC 22xxxx

Ah, my bad! I meant to post it as an actual thread in TT a week or so ago when I first noticed the PNS, but never got around to it!

I take it the flight originated from Keesler AFB?
Is that correct?
I missed the beginning.

Pretty certain that they'll measure some gusts in the TS category, but whether they are part of the LLC is another issue...

Just looked at recon and plenty in the 37-38 knot range, seems like we have Bonnie, or do you think that is not due to the LLC?

They're still at flight level.

They'll probably get some TS gusts in convection, but it'll be interesting to see what they find per the LLC...
