Bones may have called the ballgame on account of shear, but the muscles are still twitching. No rain here, but impressive cloud presentation and lightning show off to the west. KLIX doppler very clearly showing the remnant circulation, although I prefer WWL's radar at the moment.
Edited to add: I would kill to have my D-SLR camera with me right now. From this angle, the anvil-tops of those thunderstorms span the west and extreme northwest horizon. It's a beautiful picture with the sunlight reflecting off those clouds. You don't need a radar to tell you that some major action is happening underneath the cumulonimbus.

Most impressed with Bonnies last ditch effort to show us a little something, and over land mind you! Nice lightning show this early morning then woke up to thunder and rain. Picked up over an inch here in Hahnville so far. You are correct, she does look better than she has in a long time...nice tropical like breezes also.

What's with that cell just west of the Mississippi from Baton Rouge. I was hoping it was an error, but it seems that lil booger is real! It's been floating over the same area for over an hour now!

Given its fairly convectivly active that makes quite a bit of sense to follow this system for a little while yet.

Family in that area, West Baton Rouge parish, reported roads being closed and water in a few homes, they said it rained 4 inches!

I'm staying out here in Bay St. Louis. This morning around 5 we had intense weather and alot of lightning, even lost power.
It was quite the experience.

Off and on showers this morning with thunder in the background. At the moment it is sunny along Alabama where I live but there are some storms coming off of the Gulf that might change that.
