Reports from Our Friends on the Gulf Coast from TD 5

#1 Postby artist » Wed Aug 11, 2010 5:49 pm

I know there have been several tornado warnings today from this little system and think we need a thread for all our friends being affected by this storm. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Please let us know what is happening in your area.

We need some rain and I was welcoming a weak TS to come our way.. heck I'm now wondering if we well get any rain at all from the ex-TD.. that would really suck if I have to water my yard and palms again tomorrow.... POOF DAT... Its really quiet, no wind, no waves, no tide to speak of.. just clouds.. no oil on the beaches either... :)

Winds went dead still here in Destin around 7pm, very strange.

We have gotten over 5 inches of rain from TD5. Very little wind but lots of tropical rain and street flooding.

Sounds about like what we got from him as he passed by here heading first south then north! One of the first I remember traveling all the way down the east coast then up the west coast!

Hopefully no major flooding is going on for anyone.

Around 4" of rain as TD5 came through the first time; now getting heavy rain and thunder again as it makes it's way south. Very moist tropical air mass in place for sure.

8-10ish where I live, but today's the first day since maybe Tuesday that it hasn't rained. Skies are kind of milky, and there's a light breeze.

Just a lot of rain, rumble in the sky, and lightening. I think the weather has been pretty bad north of me.

From the Coast of Alabama along Mobile Bay it is sunny and partly cloudy at times but no rain. Actually the wind is not even blowing at the moment.

Sunny here now but last night we had a good rain and breezy conditions. Wasn't sure if that was related to our remnants of tD5

Moderate rain bands coming in South Miss. area now. Looks like a weak circulation visible on radar south of Mobile bay.
