No Tropical Cyclones at this Time
What a relief to go to the NHC website and still see this as we get into the real dangerous part of the season! I do hope it continues...

I read about big time season this year. Everyone is worried about a major hurricane coming in September.

um, Redhead......, the article you refer to was written way back in May. We are now in middle August. It is a little dated.

But it shouldn't matter. The season really hasn't even started. Do you think it is not right? Peak of season only just ahead. Still many (up to 7) major hurricanes expected I'm sure. Don't drop the guard. Right?

But keep in mind that a large percentage of those "7" could be fish.....Long Tracking CV storms have the best shot at going major, and most of them recurve....There may be 1 or 2 majors though that the US may have to watch out for..

well we are in mid August....the models show some development of CV systems but they are likely going to be fish..
As I said before I am most worried about October..............main reason is that we will likely see some Caribbean systems forming with La Nina and troughs to the north will be present pulling those system into the GOM and Florida.
