Pre-trip anxiety

#1 Postby Stephanie » Mon Aug 16, 2010 7:40 pm

Does anyone else get this? I'm only going on an over-night bus trip to Mohegan Sun in CT and I'm still anxious! I worry that something is going to happen when I'm away. I feel homesick already. Usually, when I'm finally on the trip and at my destination I'm okay. I just don't like feeling out of my element. I miss my pets too. :(

I always feel like this, especially when I am leaving home during hurricane season, even with no storms threatening my area. I am sorry you feel this way. Take your trip and have fun!! All will be fine!! :D

I just got back from a 6 night 7 day trip to Fort Myers Beach and I get excited and anxious before we leave. Anxiety mostly worrying about my pets. We have 2 dogs, a cat, a bunny and a few fish. My mom does a great job of taking care of them but I still worry about them, and feel very anxious when I call to check up on them. But other than the animals the road trip of driving there and back brings on a bit of anxiety as well, its about 3-3 1/2 hours one way.
I usually never want to come home, but this time around I was more than ready I was feeling more home sick than I have
in years, we just got home last night and boy I was happy to be in my own bed last night, and love on my animals. :D

I've never consciously felt any anxiety, but the morning of travel days, I generally feel a little nauseous, and I wonder if it may be some symptom of a kind of subconscious anxiety

Perhaps.

I think that now it's more that I worry about my animals, though I know that they are in good hands.
