Baffin Bay
27° 17.7' N 97° 24.3' W
Baffin Bay, also known as Lago de la Santísima Trinidad and Salt Lagoon, projects inland from Laguna Madre.qv Its center point is about 27°15' north and 97°31' west. The bay forms part of the eastern boundary between Kenedy and Kleberg counties. The west side of Baffin Bay connects with the mouth of Los Olmos Creek, which flows from the Laguna Salada, Cayo del Grulla, and Alazan Bay. Baffin Bay provided Confederate blockade runners with protected overland access, through the shallow Laguna Madre, to the cotton markets of Mexico. The entire south shore of Baffin Bay forms the northern boundary of the vast Kenedy Ranch

Finally! Took forever to find a decent map that wasn't an extreme close-up so we could see it in perspective.

Tickster you can find out on the new Breakpoints page I made.. Go here http://www.storm2k.org/Weather-Central/ ... points.htm and click on the Gulf Coast section.. That will show you each breakpoint for the Gulfcoast, Including the ones issued today
Anythime a watch or warning is issued it will always be one of the locations on that map

I have a question I hope one of you smart people can help me with... I'm on the Brazoria/Galveston county line, so not too worried about Erika, but our family-weekend house is in Sargent -- right on Matagorda Bay -- and my cousin's graduation party is there at the house early tomorrow afternoon.
I'm concerned about what the weather might be like there tomorrow, tidal conditions, etc., as a result of Erika -- assuming she doesn't go more Northerly and really be an actual problem, instead of us just having to worry about the fringe effects from the NE side of her.
Can anyone give me any insight? Thanks!!
