This pretty much sums it up Bill.......know that God will NOT allow one hair on your head to be harmed!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer
and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will
guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
--Philippians 4:6-7

Well, families stick together.

Bill, I see about 500 family members here.

I think we could, as the S2K family help out.

I know that you are not asking for it, but I think we could get together and come up with ( albiet worldly ) some funds.

I'm just tossing this idea out. If anyone would like to add their ideas on how to accomplish it please do so.

I have just started a site to sell goods over the net. I have teamed up with Linksys/Card Service Int. to be able to accept Mastercard and Visa. I haven't thought it through, but I would think that I could set up a link for S2K'ers to use. BTW - I do not see the CC info myself. It is all handled by the Linksys folks.

Just a thought.

Richard and all my Storm2K friends,

There comes a time when a man HAS to throw "pride" out the window...and this is certainly the most appropriate time for us to do so.

If the Storm2K family and friends are willing, I would GRATEFULLY accept any assistance offered. Our backs are against the wall, and I must seek help wherever I can find it. Time is running out...14 days to go.

Thanks,

Bill, Debi, and Kevin Frederiksen (and Annabelle)

I'll start a new thread when I have a link set up on my site. All the instructions will be on the new thread.

What would our goal be? Don't make it too conservative! I figure with about 70 to 100 "regular" posters we could come up with enough for you to either stay where you are at, or give them the heave ho, and find another place.

Well...if I fight this and LOSE, we will have to pay court costs, attorney's fees AND still have to vacate immediately...the landlord has the right (?) to change the locks, put all our stuff in a storage locker and we'd have to pay for it...and we'd still be homeless.

If we CAN move, we will...we'd have to have enough for deposit (first and last month's rent) plus the cost of having all our utilities, phone and cable services transferred to the new address. I believe my Lodge brethren will assist with physically moving us and our stuff.

I'm thinking this may cost $2K at the outside, either way.

My primary concern is that we have a home for Kevin/coppertop; I really don't want him to end up in the State's "care", and leaving him at my sister's in NJ was already "nixed" by my wife... :o

Ticka is accepting donations for funds to help Bill and his family via Paypal. Please go to the thread titled: DONATIONS TO STREETSOLIDER and FAMILY or click here:

http://www.storm2k.org/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=10527

What each person gives will be kept confidential so if you can only spare a few dollars, it will be appreciated as well. It all adds up. ;)

Please give what you can to help our friend Bill in his time of need.

Thank you!

There are things I would like/love to do in life, such as giving to a friend [only have many online friends] in need; but when you don't live alone (and/or in my circumstances) it is hard to do things you want to do [and really want to do].

My apologies first and foremost to Bill.

Bill do you have a local St. Vincent de Paul Society in your town. It should be affliated with the local Catholic Church. They are a great source to contact for assistant. Please check into.

There may be other places that can help too Bill. Goodwill also gives assistance with rent and/or bills in some circumstances. You may want to look into that as well. There's a baptist church here that also provides financial assistance and there may be places like that in your area. Unfortunately, it may not be easy to look up like in a phone book but ask around and especially call your local churches...they should know who to call.

I've contacted a place is Sikeston that assists families in need and I'm hoping they reply. I will let you know if/when they do.

Thanks to all of you! St. Ignatius de Loyola Church does, indeed, have a St. Vincent de Paul Society; they are on a "must call" list for Monday.
Goodwill Industries does not extend to the Bootheel, but there are churches that have food pantries and will extend what assistance they can. Most of the churches here are small congregations, many Baptist or AG or Pentecostal...these, too, are on my list.

As to my fight, well...we are countering the landlady's photos with a set of our own, showing the apartment as we USUALLY keep it (she came the day after we fogged, to make us look "bad"), we have affidavits and testimony lined up, and we are going to ask the Legal Aid attorney (if they take us on...they will be answering by mail this week) to subpoena our telephone records for late summer-through-late fall 2002, to show that we did, indeed, call Collins Development repeatedly about the problem.

We will also be applying for Section 8 housing on Monday, but we aren't counting on a timely placement. I understand a Lodge brother may have units for rent, and that's another contact that I have to make Monday.

As for Debi and I, we are EXHAUSTED. Six days of intense cleaning of everything we have, own, and the apartment itself. Two tired, sick people doing work that a healthy, manly crew would find daunting...but we DID IT.

We are far from being idle here...but we have to make arrangements for "worst-case scenario", as well.

Debi and I wish to thank each and every one of you...just for caring about us! You are truly friends in every sense of the word, and we appreciate the immense effort you are undertaking in our behalf. Thanks again, and God be with you!

Bill... if you need anything, let me know. I am not real close but I might be able to help you out. Thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and yours!

Bill, I'm so very sorry to hear of your plight. I've wept this evening because I don't have the money to help you out....I wish to the Lord I did. I lost my job in June, and may be forced any day to leave the internet because of financial reasons (the real reason I discontinued my website).

My car blew up three weeks ago and I couldn't even spare the cash to rent a car and attend my cousin Susie's funeral in Tennessee...that's how bad it is right now.

All I can offer is my thoughts and humble prayers...and I'm very honored to do so. I wish you and your family the best Bill. I know what it feels like....I'm being forced to borrow money from my dad and great aunt & uncle to get another car to carry granny to the grocery store, pharmacy, and doctor...and am totally humilated to admit it :( :(

Take care Bill,
Perry
