According to NHC....Jacksonville NC, has a 72% chance of experiencing TS winds. Forcast calls for 20-40mph winds with gusts up to 50. 50% rain chance through today.

Yeah, with Jacksonville being about 40 minutes NE of us here in Wilmington, they are going to get fairly the same weather we are. Nothing this area can't handle. I would be highly surprised if anyone was talking about evacuating that area.

Thanks for the info y'all. She's been through a couple, so not too worried.

I had to look at the picture again but it looks like a cloaked character (not sure if it's duck shaped or not yet)with a huge blue eye and red pupil and something that looks like a tail or something off the top of it's head. lol

The last couple of frames of the water vapor loop definitely seem to show a slight eastward trend

2 good things are possibly happening: Its may be beginning to have to eastern component to its motion and it appears to be weakening further. I could be wrong and am certainly no expert but my untrained eyes are telling me these two things are happening.

If earl is travelling east, then it seems like Nova Scotia isn't out of the woods yet :( I was hoping that the current track would verify but it appears it isnt.

I have no clue about tracking but I have been trying to somewhat and if I'm not mistaken the 2pm report had Earl at 31.7N 75.2W
and the 5pm location iis 32.5N and 75.2W so that to me seems he is inching towards the north but staying pretty much in place as far as west goes.

Please don't jump on me it's only what I see, as someone who usually just watches the weather reports or comes here to read from those who knows what they are talking about I already mentioned I have no clue. :-)

yes it would appear that its no longer tracking west but the eastern turn that everyone wants looks like its not happening as of 5pm :-)

Long range radar makes it look like it is reaching its furthest west point in the turn.

Good rains in that NW quadrant.

It does look like Earl's west movement has stopped and is mostly headed north...come on east turn!....looking at the radar the rain shield is just about to start moving onshore soon. Big question is how close to land will the western eyewall will come at CPA....the recent weakening trend is also good news.....MGC
