Hope not the last ones were so strong  . The Lesser Antilles want a break and even a rest. Let's wait and see Vortex.

If you look at it, it's placed over the Leeward Islands, not the Windward Islands.

It doesn't make sense to put something out of place.

Agree that they have to move it a little bit more south.

The north wind is due to local T'storms.. and the pressure falls are typical afternoon and evening pressure changes.. no real signs of development yet still just a surge of moisture off of SA pushing the ITCZ over water.

St Lucia, north of the Island. Just been on the roof to check the horizon - damn, it's complicated knowing which way to look these days - and to the East is is blue skies and to the NW the same. WSW and there is a huge bank of rain cloud emptying on the Caribbean. To the South there is a lot of low cloud but no sign of the expected level of rain from the Flash video in Aric's post. Very difficult to get a fix on the location and direction of this southern upstart.

For those further north, I'll post again if there is news to pass on.

So THIS is why there was so much traffic this afternoon! Sheesh. I didn't get to check back weather this morning. Just knew the temps were at 35C, and the sky was weird. Eery. :double:
Then the ominous clouds, and traffic (due to warning of potential floods)! I should know better - this is September!
While this looks fairly tame at the moment, I've observed that anything with guts left in it after these low latitudes, tends to take full advantage of the Caribbean Sea. No time to turn our backs now! We might have a backdoor intruder!

Euro Ensembles hot off the presses. On board as well.

Break down in the ridge similar to the operational. Position ranging from BOC to the Yucantan channel.
