Disturbance in Bay of Campeche (BoC)

I was checking the IR satellite images for the Gulf of Mexico, and I noticed some bright colors to the south, in the Bay of Campeche. Check it out:

It looks to be moving WNW. So far this has no model support, but I think this has the potential to develop. Lets just wait and see.

Not sure what is causing it as this morning's discussion out of NHC only references the active convection and not the cause. However, the latest satellite shows convection waning and clearly moving west onto the Mexican coastline. Nothing to worry about.

This is a perfect example of why you should upload the image before posting. You mention bright colors in the BOC this morning, but there's nothing there.

It's nice to be able to see what the poster was talking about when the post was made. :)
