:uarrow: I got to take advantage of my own delivery. Son called and invited us over for fajitas, ribs and steak cooked/smoked on the grill/smoker. Perfect weather, perfect food, great family and friends made for a great experience. I could get used to this easily if I didn't have to water so often.

Anyone know what is the outlook for La Nina into 2011? Looks like we are in a definite La Nina dry weather pattern here in central Texas. Hopefully not for long . . .

It was awesome out, wasn't it! Did have to heat the pool as the cool mornings of the past week did add a bit of a chill to the water. Great BBQ, shrimp and a fun and relaxing time was had by all. Time to water the yard though.

Make that a dip into the MID-40s! Next four nights forecasted lows: 47,46,48,49. woohoo!

Yeah, guys...the weather is absolutely beautiful. I spent much of yesterday outside and it felt spectacular! I would have liked some of those fajitas, though. Image

It's getting a little dry, though. I didn't realize just how much until I saw this on my NWS page:

It was 46 here too. This was the first morning that I woke up and didn't want to get out from under the covers!

54f here this morning. Finally has hit 70f at 1:30 pm. Doesn't look like we'll even get into the upper 70's today. I do think fall may be here to stay. Of course the 87f predicted for late week isn't really fall like.

We got up to a big high of 74 today with the winds starting up again this afternoon. Highest sustained at 14 and gusts up to 22. Another absolute beautiful fall day. The only down side is we are under a fire weather watch. It's so dry and we have a rain deficit of -17" for the year.

Elevated fire threat and now burn bans. Where did all the rain go?

It was absolutely beautiful today, though. Felt great! They lowered tonight's expected low... down to 44 now. On October 4th! I think it's time to pull out the Cowboys snuggie. :)

Yikes! :uarrow: The low in my area was 54f. Don't know what the official low was at IAH. Dry, dry, dry around here with some burn bans in place in outlying metro areas.

Yes, it is dry. I have had to water twice in the last week now.

I am loving this weather - I really am - but another week or two of these chilly mornings, and I will want my summer back!!!

45F for a low here this morning as well. Amazing for October 5th! No record as it was "warmer" down at the airport.

A/C has been off for days! Hopefully, I can say good-bye to those $400+ electricity bills!

I've held off on the watering as long as I can. Now to make my feeble brain remember to put out the sprinklers.

This weather has been absolutely gorgeous! 49 degrees here this morning and currently 80 degrees right now. Only problem is it's VERY dry out there, grass is literally turning brown all over the place. I see a 20% chance of showers Monday but that's about it for at least the next 10 days it seems. Even though the weather is seemingly perfect this is not a good place to be rain-fall wise heading into our driest month of the year. Don't need to see sea surface temps to know that we're in a La Nina right now! Here's hoping for some wet and cool weather soon!

Well I remembered to put out the sprinkler. However, I forgot to turn it off for 6 hours!!   Can you say deep watering?

45° again this morning.... loving this no A/C thing. Currently 80° with upper 80s expected today and low 90s tomorrow. I think that A/C will be coming back on. The pool is too cold to swim now anyway, so let's just bring the cooler weather here to stay. :)

Nice to see some clouds today. That means moisture is returning. Something we have not seen in two weeks. I noticed the SPC has our area in a Slight Risk for tomorrow. Here's hoping for a shower or storm before the dry weather returns.
