Chilean Miner Rescue imminent

#1 Postby angelwing » Tue Oct 12, 2010 5:51 pm

I have both lives feeds from CNN and Foxnews up on my PC at work, sometimes one of the views switch, but mostly the same. They are still working on the capsule now (6:51PM EST)

The first miner was brought up.He seems fine, but was taken to hospital for evaluation. I guess the same proccess will occur with the rest. Hopefully, the rescue operation to get the rest out end without problems.

The 11th miner came up a few minutes ago. That means the rescue is one third over!
Really emotional stuff, man. Each time one of the miners steps out and is greeted by a family member, my eyes tear up. And you know what? I’ve noticed the same thing happening to a bunch of those Chilean men near the rescue site. In a region of the world known for machismo, that’s significant. Men do and should cry when appropriate!

Yeah, abajan. It really is emotional. I had it on Fox News last night and got very little sleep because I couldn't stop watching. Amazing stuff.

Still coming up. I think they are on 29 or 30 right now. I'm like you about this and on top of the emotions of finally being rescued and reuniting with family their lives have been changed forever as part of this miracle in motion.

I do too. I only saw number 8 and number 18 come up. It's so amazing that the rescue is working as well as it is. What an incredible job!
