If it follows the track, St. Lucia will be in the northern quadrant by Saturday morning to noon. Good luck.

Try to stay in a safe place

I noticed the error because HenkL wrote in Tomás' RECON thread that the next flight leaves tomorrow at 09z and then went to the NHC website to verify. I think the NHC wasn't expecting Tomás to intensify this fast.

Tomas looks impressive on satellite. I would not be surprised if Tomas is undergoing RI.

The only good news is that it's moving fast and that should limit the damage potential. Can't say the same for the people that may face it later next week.

It looks like is a little north from the NHC forecast track.

Yep, looks like it's getting ready to blow up.

Hope everyone in the path is ok.

A few hours ago I was talking to one of the parents of the baseball team I couch that he's Dominican and I mentioned that it's track could be close to Flora or Emily, 1987.

I've seen a lot of storms and this is too impressive too quick so close to the islands. My prayers to all in the path. Hopefully everyone takes this seriously and stays safe. Looking at satellite it's hard to believe it's almost November!

Actually looks as if the center is down at the very SW edge of the ball of convection. If so this storm is tilted through the atmosphere from SW to NE for now and no RI will occur.
