Is there a good chance Tomas will be a threat for someone going on a cruise Nov 7-in the area of the Bahamas?

Out of curiousity...would Tomas' intensifying last night be considered a case of rapid intensification? I know it went from 75 mph to 100 mph pretty quick, but...not sure if it was quick enough, or when exactly it would of started or ended.

We will have to see first if Tomas survives the pounding and is downgraded more than what NHC is forecasting, before upper conditions become favorable, and see what may be left.
