Favorite Flower
We have 4, 8x8 flower beds made from railroad ties, I have one bed dedicated to JUST Columbine, every species they grow, a few new species that hit the market this past year, So.....as you can see, I love my Columbine, now I have to admit, we have one bed dedicated to wildflowers, we bought a wildflower mixture at WalMart last year, this mix has EVERYTHING under the sun in it, I will post some pics of it later, it is SOOOOOOOO awesome
What's your favorite flower?

I think I have to say hollyhocks or roses. Both have their own unique reasons I like them, but both are beautiful. My roses have been a pain the past few years and seems that they need more TLC than I can provide, but the results are always beautiful.

I love dayliles - grown in bunches, all different colors!
I have red, yellow, orange, peach, and pink!
Dennis, I planted blue columbines, one year, when I
lived in another town, and, they were SO hardy! They
kept spreading and spreading, and came up, everywhere!
The hummingbirds sure loved them, too!

Hi AZ, johnsam...& all! I love columbines too, & planted them mainly for the hummingbirds. Roses are a little too finicky, although the few I have are thriving (I make a banana peel "soak" with water in the blender, roses love it). I guess my favorite changes with the season. Spring would be the daffodils, by the hundreds, Summer brings the lush clematis covering my fences, and fall the Mums add color to the yard. Can't forget the sunflowers.....I love them all, how can you pick a favorite

Miss Mary
Nigella is my favorite. I think the kind is Jewel of the Nile. I got them from a member of the Green Thumb Club and it's the prettiest, dantiest flower I've ever seen. I also like peonies. They smell sooooo good. Az, do you grow your columbines in full sun. Wonder if they don't like oak trees because mine haven't done well at this house. They bloom but never get very big.
