Wondering if it’s just you that can’t access a certain site?

A few minutes ago, I tried to view one of my favorite sites and after several attempts, it simply refused to load. In frustration, I googled “website checks if websites are down” to see what I could find. (I already use a service to monitor a site I manage but I didn’t want to go through the hassle of logging in and adding this other site just to check if it was up.) Anyway, I found what appears to be the perfect solution. It is called Down for everyone or just me? (well DUH! ).

There are at least four other sites that do the same thing.

Incidentally, Down for everyone or just me? indicated that it was just me having the problem which, as you could imagine, had me quite concerned. So I immediately tried to view the site again and it loaded. I guess it must have been just a temporary outage.
