Bringing back the PBS for those that need it. Some of us are gonna be swinging back and forth between the porch and the stove with the weather we've been having. It was mid 40's this am and high 70's this afternoon.

I am going to throw a log on the fire and hang out in front of the stove. Been freezing in my neck of the woods. :cold:

OOO wood stove.. Nice! No snow yet VB. Been watching the model out put and the GFS has been throwing out some wonderful charts, but the real cold is just haninging out in FI land. Maybe, Monday?

Very cold though. 0c this morning and a lovely white frost.

Extra socks for me today me thinks! :froze:

Still on the porch here. I'm in shorts and tshirt. Probably be looking for those wool socks by Saturday though. Expecting 0C here possibly then. I put a few more logs on the fire and restocked the wood bin. Leaving some hot cocoa too.

No T-shirt and shorts here today. Barely made it into the 50's with a brisk northerly breeze and tonight we are looking at low to mid 20's in Tucson, teens or colder in Cochise County. Definitely PBS weather.

Switching back and forth between the woolies and shorts and tshirt. Looks like it is going to be a roller coaster winter here in Houston. Was shorts and tshirt today. I'll be in pants and a long sleeved shirt tomorrow. Either way I am leaving some hot chocolate for those that need it.

Have a blast in the snow Amanzi!! I saw the pics on fb. Back into long sleeves and pants here, but it is clear and sunny. If models pan out we may have snow next week, which would be historic since it would be 4 years in a row and in December. I think I'll take some of that hot cocoa I left last night.

Well we have 5" here. Quite historic for south London. It is normally very difficult to get snow to settle here (huge heat island effect). Some areas in Scotland are buried! More is forecast for today and into tomorrow, so could be fun. Very interesting synoptics, kind of like a lake effect snow situation develops in the mouth of the Thames estuary and depending on the wind direction, it just keeps coming. Problem is here, people just dont know how to drive and the roads just cant take it, people have been trapped on the interstate for going on 10 hours now. Not to mention all the traffic accidents.

I think I will have some of that coco too now!

Our high temps only got into the 30°F range today, with snow flurries, too - I am very glad
to see the stove fired up!

Amanzi, I've been following that UK winter blast on BBC, Guardian, and Telegraph websites,
and the snow pics are amazing! It seems the Met Office is forecasting freezing temps there
for the rest of the month, preventing any actual thawing out to take place - looks like your
snowman may hang around for a while!

I could use a stove or a fireplace to huddle around right now! Very windy outside!

Pull up a chair and wrap yourself in Granny's afghan. That along with some of the hot chocolate I left should help warm you up.

Hi Breeze,
Yes it has been amazing for cold and snow here this month. The UK normally has such dull weather, so this is a dream come true for us weather freaks on this side of the pond. We should see a bit of a warm up ahem...5c on Sunday, but it looks like the pattern wants to reload. Just hope there is no snow on old years eve as we are flying out to Switzerland for a little snow boarding then on to France. Only Heathrow can deal with ice, and unfortunately we aren't flying out of there.
