I finished up my chemo/radiation on Nov. 29. Luckily i only had to have 25 radiation treatments. The first and last weeks I had 2 types of chemo and radiation simultaneously. The first round of chemo left me with mouth sores and a bit of nausea. The last week of the combined treatment really knocked me on my butt (pardon the pun!). I had done so well for the other 4 weeks without the side effects that most have. Then the 2 weeks following the last treatment are a blur. I was on painkillers (which i rarely take an aspirin) and i slept alot and was in a decent amount of pain. And of course only i would end up with an UTI that the common antibiotic doesn't cure.

Fast forward to today....back in my blue jeans Image along with driving and my life is getting back to normal. I never lost any hair or weight. Darn...i was hoping to have dropped a few pounds at least! Farrah Fawcett is starting a foundation along with a family who lost their mom to anal cancer. I know where my donation $$'s are going to. We must get more research done on this cancer. Not much is out there on it. I guess because there's only about 5200 of us who get it per year. But that number is rising :(

Thanks so much for your prayers and thoughts. Our s2k family is awesome! Image

Kathy, so sorry you had to go thru such a rough time but so glad you're finished and getting back to enjoying the Christmas season. Don't think I'm going to stop praying for you though, cause I'm not.
Special Christmas ((HUGS)) to you.
