We got a dusting here in southern mid-TN - enough to say it snowed on Christmas!

Same here. I'm happy. Quite a few people in Alabama to my west/south got screwed totally.

Changeover has made it all the way to Eufaula(almost the SE corner of AL) as it's ending.

Getting Snow Flurries here at my house just east of Destin, FL in Miramar Bch and 38F outside.

Radar has begun to show north to south moving bands over the Panhandle and it is this precip bringing the snow!

I haven't seen a flurry yet, but it sure is cold. Don't think it'll make the mid 40's today as forecast highs.

So far I have heard confirmed reports from Tallahasee, Jacksonville, and Gainesville and a few scattered nonwitness reports from western FL (Pensacola and Crestview). Pretty good event if you ask me.

Hm so the GFS/NAM didn't do a great job on this system. They were correct that the most (accumulative snows) would be in northern half of Alabama/Georgia/Carolinas but didn't have nearly enough showing 1-3 inches in most cases. Ended up 4+ in some parts and a foot east of RDU. Flurries elsewhere, but that's always a wild card with cold air masses. Congrats to those who got the ultimate Christmas present. :P

Now we wait for the next one. Wonder how long it will be before the models show a good southern snowstorm possible. :?:

Let me paraphrase that image for you.

IN SOVIET RUSSIA, FORECAST WOULD STILL BE COLD! (and drink you!)
