Looking at specific temperature trends this hour, it appears the colder air is moving southwest gradually, northeast of a line from Bowie, to Denton, through Plano to Terrell.

Along the Red River, Sherman/Denision are at 33/34 with decent precip. Gainesville at 35 with decent clip of precip and Bonham at 37.

EDIT: CONFIRMED reports of all snow in Wolfe City and Pilot Point. Snow on the ground in Ridgeway just north of Commerce/Greenville. And Snow/Sleet/Light rain mix in Denton.

It was 38 when I checked here in Rockwall around 7am. It's dropped to 35 less than 1.5 hours later. Maybe the transition will start in a couple hours here.

GFS soundings a little too warm for DFW, NAM still close, but leaning with reality. Go East.

IMO it's just a matter of time for Rockwall County should be less than "a couple of hours"

looks like the temps are slowing dropping. Will it need to be right at 32 to snow or what does it need to get down to?

32.9° here in south Tyler with mostly cold rain and some light sleet every now and then. Wonder if the precip will be out of here by the time the column cools?

Absolutely not...I have seen snow flakes at 43F before. But in this instance it seems like 35F would be all snow. Again, NAM is still cold enough for DFW, GFS is not. So wait-and-see.
