Seems like the stronger stuff tries to push north but kind of cuts off and spins. A little farther north and it would be coming down here!

I know our friends in Northeast Texas are dealing with Snow/sleet/rain this afternoon, but the Midland NWS mentioned another shortwave this morning entering the state Tuesday night/Wednesday. Since the arctic air will be here by then, I wonder what the pro mets on the board are seeing regarding available moisture, track, etc. Thanks!

The GFS is sniffing out that disturbance. We shall see. Also, the GFS has trended much colder in the longer range suggesting we have not seen tha last of wintry weather chances across TX.

Will we see a change to all snow or will this sleet keep up?

from the looks of the radar it looks like its strating to change over in denton and north of the metroplex, not here in Carrollton yet. NBC weather said the change over would happen for DFW around noon and it looks like thats when it will be to me. They also said 1 to 3 inches around DFW. So we will see..

Sleeting hard here in southeast Frisco. Snow line appears to be on COIT right now on the radar moving gradually west to Preston then down to Allen moving west into Plano.

It's hard to say, but the 850temps are cooling right now from all the sleet reports so definitely still transitioning.

Edit: 75% snow 25% sleet by 183

Still just about 75% sleet here. Careful consideration went into that "75%" I was thinking 76% but decided to go with 75%

The other 25% is rain not snow, btw.

I must be in the rain zone. NTXW just probably 10 minutes north of me has snow. Guy in Midlothian about 10-15 minutes south of me has snow. You have snow.

But just rain/some sleet here.
