FWD FD on what yall were talking about.. monitor this system as well.

AT THIS TIME PRECIPITATION LOOKS AS
THOUGH IT WILL END BEFORE TEMPERATURES FALL BELOW FREEZING
LIMITING THE POTENTIAL FOR WINTRY PRECIPITATION. WILL CONTINUE TO
MONITOR THE TIMING OF THIS FRONT AS THIS WILL BE IMPORTANT IN
DETERMINING WHETHER ANY WINTRY PRECIPITATION FALLS AT THE END OF
THE WEEKEND.

Very surprised this morning, woke up to a new coating of snow on everything (everything had melted yesterday). I guess when it's in the 20s anything that falls sticks. Take it easy folks, mess this morning on side roads and bridges.

Mother Nature has stealth mode enabled. The radar is having a hard time picking up the frz drizzle, it so low to the ground. :double:

We got 2" and I suspect it'll be on the ground all day since the high is 32 and it'll be cloudy. It'll probably melt on the rooftops though. Kids out here have school today. Good thing we got out yesterday to do some sledding. :)

I saw that Kaufman and Terrell ISD's are closed today. I guess you guys have more slush on the roads. We don't really have any of that around here. The roads are pretty clear and dry for the most part. The kids were disappointed, but I told them that when Easter comes around and they don't have to make up a day, they'll be happy. That didn't help. :)

I'm sure that didnt help  We had a student die the other day after getting off the bus so I suspect the district doesn't want to take any chances.

It may not be snowing or sleeting here in AUS, but with a raw and damp east wind and surface temps around 37-38 and a heavy drizzle ... sure feels cold!

Meanwhile, I think I'll live vicariously through my brother in Charlotte (NC). They're having lots of winter "fun" today.

Oh ... and congrats to those of you in north and northeast Texas who scored on the snow front yesterday! 8-)

Once again Ntxw's avatar was my reality in terms of Waco getting wintry precip (Image)

But, at least some of you got some winter wx. Congrats and thanks for the snow stuff.

You might want to add your location to your profile so everyone knows where you are when you chime in on rain/snow totals. Also, have you contacted the Storm2K administrator about getting your ProMet status/Avatar?
