As a self proclaimed metalhead, I don't mind any of them artists, not in heavy rotation, but I listen to pretty much anything.

Tireman, good choices. I used to think any metal not from that generation didn't have merit, but there are some good bands from the here and now. Five Finger Death Punch for one. Avenged Sevenfold isn't too bad. Disciple and The Word Alive and good as well.
