Longer range is hinting La Nina could be taking control Middle of Feb into March. +PNA is predicted to go negative middle of the month. That 80 isotherm can be seen via Wxman57's super amplified telescope! Late run of the 18z GFS shows signs of a Gulf of Alaska vortex rearing it's head!

It shows the energy that got cut-off over the southwest to finally move across the state late on Friday spreading snow from the Red River all the way down to Austin over to just north of Houston.

NAM initializes in 30 mins or so. A lot is riding on this set of runs for a happy weekend weather wise! Either it stops the bleeding or we all go into surgery lol.

We have a savior. Orangeblood has been onto something about late next week a few days after the big storm. Baroclinic zone will be much more south and usually it's the tail end of the arctic outbreaks that brings out a hidden storm. GFS/Euro doesn't have it now but in time I think something will spring up! That would be our life support! (Optimism)

You guys should be have been here during the old days...when we had the NGM/MRF and no 12z runs from the MRF.

WXMAN57 probably remembers the LFM.

Then we got the Eta model and it handled the cold air so much better than the NGM.
