I thought this map from weather.com was pretty funny. This is for Thursday night. Snow for Houston, but no where else, only Houston! lol

My sister in law just got to my house in FW, from Midolothian, and the temp went from 74 to 56 on her temp gauge in her car. That is pretty crazy drop for a 30 mile trip north.

Well I have a friend who took a job in Williston, ND. He is from Houston, born and raised, and transferred up there beginning of this year. Just heard from him, it's 0F with flurries and they expect it to get colder. So it sounds like the cold is is coming on down. I still don't understand why he took that transfer.

79 degrees and partly cloudy at the Portastorm Weather Center (southwest Austin) at 2 p.m. A beautiful spring-like day ... before Arctic Armageddon comes.

That little upper level low was quite the underachiever, shows how models have trouble with specifics even 24 hours out. Especially this winter it seems.
