Severe Thunderstorm Watch for my area!

BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED
PENNSYLVANIA AREAL OUTLINE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH NUMBER 880
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE STATE COLLEGE PA
120 PM EDT FRI AUG 22 2003

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH
UNTIL 800 PM EDT FRIDAY EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING PENNSYLVANIA
COUNTIES:

BERKS BUCKS CARBON CHESTER
DELAWARE LEHIGH MONROE MONTGOMERY
NORTHAMPTON PHILADELPHIA

REMEMBER A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE
FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA. PEOPLE IN
THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THREATENING WEATHER
CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS THAT SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE
POSSIBLE IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA...PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS...
LARGE HAIL AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING.

Should be an active afternoon to say the least! ;)

Well, let's see if we get hit. There are some storms north and west of my area right now, and the radar is filling in.

There was a large Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued for were I used to live... the eastern portion of the watch box itself was several miles west of the town in southeastern Massachusetts I lived in.

The cities of Brockton and Taunton are included in the watch area, basically just literally outside the box. These two cities are about ten miles north and ten miles west, respectively of Bridgewater, Massachusetts.

Most of the severe weather is going on in Eastern New England at this time...storms south of there are scattered...and they've missed me so far. :(
