UPDATE: 9:35p.m.
I am concerned for the possibility of significant ice accumulations for Grayson, Bryan and Fannin Counties due to the shallow cold air undercutting a warmer and moisture-rich air mass. Further north, the cold air will be deep enough for mostly snow before morning for Ardmore and Ada, while a fair amount of freezing rain and sleet may fall before precipitation changes to snow along the Highway 75 corridor.
Some power failures due to ice-laden trees and power lines are possible...very strong winds and temperatures in the 20s will make Tuesday a dangerous day to remain outside for any length of time. Please be careful....and don't drive Tuesday unless you have to.

Is there any hope that given the system is moving decidedly quicker than projected, that we might see some freezing rain/sleet in northern parts of the Austin area?
The only thing I've read is that this thing is blitzing through, and that the freezing line continues to be moved south. I've heard Waco mentioned. It's not that far from Waco to Georgetown!

i tried tell you all earliyer this is going to slam north texas 3 - 8 inches likely possible power outages nws needs to caught up.
